Teachers Use Of The Smartboard
One teacher who uses the Smartboard effectively is my English teacher. She knew everything about it and added effects and slides to make learning the new skill fun. By using the smartboard she made different slides to create different mechanisms to remember words and formats of literacy skills. She took the dread of learning and made it funner and easier for everyone to understand. By using activities to go up to the smart board and effects to emphasize certain areas, she made learning easier to understand and more clear to the whole class.

Husky Heartbeat
The project i chose to do is the Husky Heartbeat.
Ways I can contribute is being a Photo Editor.
-Taking student photo’s and posting them around the site. It can be pictures of the school people or things that are going on around Harrison. It can show events that are going on also. It can also be various pieces of art work that students have accomplished.
-Also there could be a certain section for student photography. Some people in the school who have picsture taking talents can solicite their work around the site telling people about the artwork.
Review
My Yahoo! and Google Reader are 2 ways to look for and find information on specific topics. Both the websites give you updates and help you easily find information. By using a content reader it helps you look at updated information on a topic you subscribed to. Google Reader is more detailed information while My Yahoo! is more of a headlining website with not as much information. Google Docs is an easy way to write documents using the internet. You can publish them and see reviews that you can get from other people. Both websites are a good way to find information on different topics that you are looking for.

Resources That Should Be Removed-
Some resources that should be removed is the long list on the side. They shoujld be seperated into different categories making it easier to find and read specificly what youa re looking for.

Some things that shuld be added is seperated folders or links. It could make things easier to find and easier to read when entering the website.
Categroizing The Resources-
An easy way to categorize the resources is making a certian place for students faculty and parents. Therefore students can look for their work or certain teachers and parents can explore the school.

An easy way is to seperate links and represent them by a picture or folder to make it more interesting to look at.

What does it mean to block a website? Is blocking effective?
To block a website is to restrict any access to a certain website. In other words not letting anyone go on a website. Blocking is effective, but there are ways to get around the blocker using different servers.
How do some bloggers get around censorship?
Blocking may or may not be effective. There are different ways to go through the blocking wall using different servers. You can also prevent blocking blogs by sending your blog post to a person out of your country and ask them to post it for you.
Blog I Chose
The blog i chose was mainly about cheerleading.
It was about a girl who loves to cheerlead and how frustrating and complicated it can be. I can relate to her about coming home from practice not feeling like you are doing you’re best. It is a bad feeling and just something you need to get over. She explains that she hasn’t been liking practices and being a captain of a varsity squad you are supposed to be there for everyone and keep everyone in line with one another. There can be alot of pressure but, she’s taking it well considering some other people would have gave up and let down a large amount of people, including themselves.

Multitasking can be a good thing or a bad thing. It depends on how well you can handle it. Sometimes you don’t even notice that you are multitasking. You are so adapted to it that it is natural. Multitasking can also be used as a skill in a job. Overall, multitasking can be good or bad depending on the individual.
What I know and don’t know about the internet.
What I Know:
I know plenty about computers, but not as much on the internet. One thing I know about the internet is how to go to simple search engines and clear the history, files and cookies. Those are mostly the basics and they’re all I know.
Things I Would Like To Know:
One thing I would like to know is how to use the internet and go more in depth with it. When it comes to computers, I mostly know how to work the computer itself, not directly the internet. Besisdes that I am pretty good with computers and know how to work them well.
